Day 184 – Friday 24th March 2017 – phase 2

Into the final stages now as the outside is nearly finished with just vents and guttering to be completed. Inside the staircase will be finished next week and some new doors, which are extras to the build, will be fitted. Today 3 bat boxes were fixed into position as required by our bat licence.

Door to study with corner piece cut out – this has been from a safety point of view. The door is safest opening into the room. Opening onto a small landing means stepping backwards which could result in a fall down the stairs

New staircase has arrived!

Windows and doors have arrived for the front

Finally the new French Doors for the front of the house have arrived. This is a sideways view until the scaffolding is taken away

This will be the ensuite bathroom. The toilet waste pipe has now been blocked in to bring the position of the toilet forward away from the sloping roof. A shelf has been created at the back.
