Phase 1 work this weekend – Tony (brother-in-law) has fitted handles to bathroom and kitchen door and has begun to tile the kitchen (white tiles!)
Phase 2 work this weekend – Paul has been working on the upstairs, beginning the painting of the ceiling in the new upstairs bedroom in readiness for Joe to return and fit the lights.

New under kitchen unit lighting. Kitchen cooker hob still to be connected to the gas supply. Our electrician came up trumps with the lighting! So pleased with it – it is so smart! All electrical work in the kitchen completed by Ballan Electrical Ltd. First Class job!

Roof tiles all stripped off today under supervision from bat licensed ecologist. Balcony window taken out and flat roof taken off. From phase 1, worktop for new kitchen which had been measured and cut to size has now been fitted.

A very important day for the build – the huge new steel beams lifted into the correct position, more scaffolding going up, a 2 day job with 4 men to create a canopy right over the house, which will mean that work is not so weather dependent and the house will be more protected when the roof comes off. Also from phase 1, air vents over flat utility room roof going in, to try and allow air to flow and to stop build up of condensation.
