The development of a new garden. A garden makeover from yew hedges flowers veg sowing growing planting and a new orchard. The extending of Springdale and improvements. The development of our new business: the scone station
“Took a trip up to Wyesham having been told about produce from Springdale and was not disappointed. The Cappuccino cake was a delight and to get proper Damson jam is a trip down memory lane. Congratulations on being enterprising in a year of disappointments, well done to all concerned.” Wendy
Damsons are more suitable for cooking than eating raw and are especially good for jams.
Damsons at Springdale
Freshly picked damsons
Here at Springdale we have a number of different varieties of Damson trees and we make a strong fruity yet, quite tart jam, delicious on toast, on scones or even in custard or rice pudding
Damsons are small stoned fruits with a dark blue skin and a strong, sour flavour. They are similar to plums and a member of the rose family.
Wye Valley Jams, Chutneys, and Marmalades are Springdale’s products!
Seville Orange Marmalade
We have a lovely range of freshly made jams, chutneys and marmalades made wherever possible from our own fruit and veg, or sourced locally. See availability list at the foot of this page.
