Day 57 – Tuesday 27th September 2016
Fibre glass roofing over flat/sloping roof was completed today. Fibre glass roofing was chosen as it is strong and durable and can last for 20 years. It was the ideal solution to cover this kind of roof where all the tiled roofs meet. An expert came out to do the job and it had to be a dry day. There are several layers, the first of which is a fibre glass coated board, then a resin goes on, followed by the fibre glass matting, then more resin and finally a top coat. Photos are shown below.
Also today a mistake was noticed by the double glazing man in the hip above the patio doors when he was measuring, so this needs to be corrected.
