Damson Jam from Springdale

Damsons are more suitable for cooking than eating raw and are especially good for jams.
Here at Springdale we have a number of different varieties of Damson trees and we make a strong fruity yet, quite tart jam, delicious on toast, on scones or even in custard or rice pudding
Damsons are small stoned fruits with a dark blue skin and a strong, sour flavour. They are similar to plums and a member of the rose family.
